Dyslexia Assessments

What is Dyslexia?

Dyslexia is a specific learning difficulty that mainly affects the development of literacy skills such as reading, writing, and spelling. It is also characterised by weaknesses in short-term memory, organisational skills and the ability to concentrate.

The word "dyslexia" is a Greek word meaning 'difficulty with words'.

10% of the UK population are affected by dyslexia.

What We Do

We provide full diagnostic dyslexia assessments which identify an individual’s strengths and areas of difficulty, allowing us to support him/her to reach their full potential. As a dedicated provider of dyslexia testing in Northamptonshire, we provide full diagnostic assessments that are carried out by a chartered and registered psychologist specialising in child and adult dyslexia.

Dyslexia testing takes up to 3 hours and includes immediate feedback and diagnosis. This is followed by a detailed report which can be used to apply for access arrangements for formal examinations, as evidence for applications for Disabled Students' Allowance, and to access workplace support/accommodations.

Our psychologists come out to you so that testing can be carried out in the comfort of your own home.

We Provide

  • Advice/information on dyslexia, dyscalculia and other learning difficulties.
  • Comprehensive diagnostic testing for children and adults that can not only identify dyslexia, but other coexisting difficulties, such as dyscalculia and visual stress.
  • Workplace assessments for employers to explore the impact of dyslexia and other learning difficulties on work related tasks.
  • Dyslexia coaching to boost confidence and self-esteem post diagnosis.
